Iphone only using email to send messages?
My iPhone is sending my messages by my email instead of my phone number. It won't let me select my phone number. I tried turning iMessage off and turning my phone off then turning it back on and turning back on iMessage but no luck. Why is it only letting me use my email and how can I fix it?
Did you update your phone?
I did and my phone is doing exactly the same and my texts aren't showing up on my phone, only on computer (which has iMessage). Hopefully the next update will help. I tried a hard reboot (hold power button and home key down) but that didn't work.
- IPhone 4 won't let me send picture messages through texts but only with iMessage? I just got texting on my phone but they said I'd get unlimited texting plus free sending picture messages, but when I tried to click on the picture thing, it didn't open but the picture thing looked grey as if I can't use it but when I use iMessage, it was black to where I could use it. - If I send a text using my email address to a fellow iPhone user will it always show delivered? Even if blocked? If you're phone number is blocked, I know messages won't show delivered. But if your email isn't known to contact, and you send text using your email, will it be delivered? I did and the blue bubble shows with delivered status. But if I send a regular text the blue changes to green, sent as text. I know my number is blocked. But he doesn't have my email.
- I CAN't Receive OR SEND MESSAGES WITH AN IMESSAGE EMAIL? I have an iPhone 4s which already has iMessage but I added an email and it says I can be reached at the email and my phone number. I've asked my sister to text the email address but I don't receive them? I can't send them from the email address either? I need help with this.
