Iphone problem with messages?
Me, my mum and my sister all have iphones and we all share one Apple ID. My mum recently updated her iphone to ios 5.1.1.It was all ok but now we're all intercepting some of each others texts. An example of this is that my mum's friend sent her a text (via imessage) and I received it on my phone. When my sister texts my mum, I receive the whole conversation as if I was texting my sister for my mum's phone. None of our iphones are jailbroken and the Apple software is completely intact. Might iCloud be the problem? Any Advise?
You need a separate apple id for each phone.
- Why do iPhone messages come up as picture messages on other phones? When my friend sends me texts, she has an iphone, they come up as picture messages and i can't revieve them on my phone because my plan doesn't cover picture messages. Can she change the settings so it won't come up as a picture?
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Read messages on my iPhone sometimes show up as unread messages on my Mac? - 1 I'm talking about email messages. I have my accounts hooked up to iCloud, so if I read an email on my iPhone or Mac, it should count it as read on the other device. It has worked, but sometimes it doesn't. What can/should I do?
- Problem with text messages on the iphone? This started to occur after I downloaded ios 6. Okay for some reason when my dad sends a text, it says that he sent it, but also I sent it too. For example, if he asks, "where are you?" my phone says two people sent it, him and myself. Also, when people text him, I get the texts as well. It shows the conversations between him and other people as if I was the one who sent them. It's like our numbers are linked or something. Does anyone know how to fix this?
