Problem with text messages on the iphone?
This started to occur after I downloaded ios 6. Okay for some reason when my dad sends a text, it says that he sent it, but also I sent it too. For example, if he asks, "where are you?" my phone says two people sent it, him and myself. Also, when people text him, I get the texts as well. It shows the conversations between him and other people as if I was the one who sent them. It's like our numbers are linked or something. Does anyone know how to fix this?
This is a common problem when upgrading to iOS 6. What you need to do is go into the Settings app, Messages >> Receive At >> then remove from "You can be reached for messages at" everything but your mail address and your phone number. Have your father do the same for his phone.
I've been having the same problem, and after contacting Apple they said they are aware but we have to wait for an update.iOS6 has too many bugs, informally.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Problem receiving text messages? I used to have an iphone and recently got a galaxy s5. When people who have Iphones text me it send as an imessage and I do not review it. How do I fix this
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
