IPhone problems. Internal? Software update will
My iPhone keeps shutting off and when I put it on silent it switches to sounds, silent, sound, silent and I don't know what it's on. I called apple they said to do a restore and if it doesn't fix it then I get a new one. First question. What can I do to the phone that a restore can't fix and they would have to give me a new one just invade the restore works
To be honest it could be a software problem or a hardware problem, it can depend on multiple factors for instance age of the iOS, age of the phone, Broke toggle button, so on if you have the 3Gs and above (3Gs, 4, 4s, 5, Soon to be 5s) you can update you software to the latest 6.0.1, or when 6.1 comes out. Updating the software can solve you problem if your iPhone is compatible. There are two possible ways to update you software from the device itself, and from iTunes. On iOS 5.0+ you can update from your phone.anything else you'll be stuck with iTunes update (when using iTunes make sure you go over to the side, right click you device, then click transfer purchases.)

if you iPhone is older (3G and down) apple has officially dropped support so I would recommend getting a new phone if you can.

- Would the iPhone 5s internal battery fit my iPhone 5? So my battery on my 5 only lasts 4 hours of usage (with bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4g, dataroaming, push off and brightness on low. And was thinking if the iphone 5s battery will fitt in my iphone 5. Anyone tried this? Eventually is there any way to have battery ussage 10 hours? I *$*** hate my iphone because of this. - Problems updating software on iPhone? I recently attempted to update the software on my iPhone from IOS 5.0 to 5.1. However, after iTunes backed up my phone and extracted the old software, it forcefully ejected my phone from the program. When I attempt to turn the phone, it tells me to plug it into iTunes, as there's currently no software on the phone, but iTunes no longer recognizes the phone as a device. Any suggestions on how I could put the software back on my phone so I can use it without having to go to the Apple store?

I always see it anounced in an absolutely black device, such as this one: http://pective.com/m/iphone-5 I wonder whether, when you're going to buy one, you go to the apple store and buy the whole thing, or look for a Nokia or Sony smartphone and then go to the Apple website and buy and download the software into your device.

My parents got me an iPhone 3 for Christmas, and when I try to download games from the Apple Store, it says I need the software version 4.3, I have version 4.2. When I try to update my phone, it keeps saying that it is up to date. How do I update the software so I can download applications?
