IPhone sound settings not working after being in water?
Hi, yesterday my phone had a bit of an accident and was submerged in water for maybe 2-3 seconds. I pulled it out and dried off the front, thinking the back was safe due to my case, which isn't even meant to protect it. Maybe 15 minutes later when my class was over, I took off the case and noticed the back was wet too, so I dried the phone, the case, and put only the phone back in my pocket. I thought everything worked, because as soon as I got the front dry, I opened Siri, and it made noise. Later on the bus, I noticed that my sound settings don't work. Music won't play unless earphones are in, and the sound sliders in music and when I double tap home don't show up. Also, when I try to change ringer volume, the squares to show me how loud it is aren't there. The volume buttons don't work right away as well. My phone is currently fully submerged in rice, protected from scratches and small particles by pantyhose. It's been there since about 4:30 pm yesterday, September 9th. I also turned it off yestersay, but it cut on this morning and my school alarm went off, but I checked and it still doesn't work. It's cut on once before, when I turned it off on the bus yesterday. I read online that it has liquid sensors, neither of which are red on my phone. Anyway, will it fix itself if I leave it in rice longer, can it be fixed, or will I have to get a new phone, (which I really hope I don't have to do)?
Be more careful with the replacement.
- Sound doesn't work on iPhone 5 after dropping it in water? I dropped my iPhone in the bath when it was in its case. The case covered everything except the screen. I've done this before with my old iPhone but that was playing up constantly afterwards and then broke. The only thing I've noticed this time is that the sound has stopped working it says the volume but I can't hear it. I've tried turning the "ringer" on and off but nothing. I've turned it off and back on again but still nothing happens

- IPhone 5 camera not working after being dropped in water? My iphone 5 went for a little swim yesterday and I dried it off in rice. It seems to be fully functioning properly except the camera isn't working. What should I do? The phone is working at 100%. The only problem is the camera.also, I'm broke as *** and will not be replacing the phone
- I dropped my iPhone 4 in water on accident and the sound isn't working? I dropped my iPhone 4 in water on accident tonight and it was on. I grabbed the phone instantly when it fell in the water because i saw it fall. It's still kind of damp. The phone is still on and seems pretty dried out for the most part, but the sound is no longer working on my phone. I need it for when i go to work tomorrow because I'm expecting an important call. I need to charge my phone for tomorrow too! What can I do to make the sound work again?
