Iphone text now app for texting?
So I have this app on my iphone 3 called text now. I don't have a plan or anything because I don't really need it I guess (we have free Wi-Fi at my school and that's the only place I use it really) I just wanted to know if there was a way to get alerts from the app when someone texts me becasue I have to go into the app to see if I have any messages. It doesn't pop up on my home screen or anything like it would when you have a plan. Is there anyway to get alerts just like if you had a plan so i know when my friends are texting me and I don't actually have ot go into the app to check messages. Aswell with calls, if someone calls my number (the app gives me a cell number) I have to be on the app to see it. Otherwise when I sign in it says missed call all the time becasue I don't get an alert!
I would try the app called "text +" or it might be "text plus". Either way it is a very nice app for texting numbers and they give you alerts on your homescreen as well as your lockscreen.

Example: If a texting app gives me the number (555)555-5555 and I send I picture to someone I want the person I sent the picture to, to receive it from the number I got (555)555-5555 not a email. Hopefully that made sense if know of any apps that do this please let me know!
- If i add a texting app to my iphone? The will allow me to have another number to text, will that change my regular one? some people want my number online, and i'm scared to give them my REAL number. So if i add a texting app to my phone, will that change my other number?
