IPhone water blooper - advice please?
I dropped my iPhone 5 in a creek - yes, a creek; I know how it sounds. Luckily the water was only a foot deep, but it took me a good deal of time (probably 15 mins or so) to find the phone because the creek wasn't exactly crystal clear. I wiped it off, brought it back to my house and quickly put it in a sealed bag of rice, but I didn't turn it off right away because I was afraid it would short out. The next morning the usual alarm on the phone rang and everything seemed normal. I turned off the phone and it is currently in the rice bag and has been for about 24-25 hours.
I'm a little nervous because I was looking up stuff online a day after the incident (today) and several articles had said to wash off your phone with fresh water to get out any corrosive materials, like if you drop it in salt water or any sticky drinks. Does the same apply for creek water? And how much longer do I need to leave it in the rice?
Anyone have any advice?
If it were mine I'd wait another day or so.

- Worried about school? Advice please? When I go back to school I won't have any classes with almost all of my friends and the people in my new class aren't nice! I'm usually quite shy/awkward around new people so it'll make me very uncomfortable and unhappy. Because of that I'm dreading going back. Is there any advice to not let this ruin my school year? - Tmobile cancelled my contract, advice please? I still have the iphone. They cancelled it cause I was missold the contract. However I still want my number the contract was on, the number isn't on now tho obviously cos they cancelled it. Can they change it to a pay as you go and I can use it? Also is the phone blocked? I don't know as iphone sim cards are diff to regular ones so that's why I'm asking also tmobile customer service is closed now. So please if you can offer advice or opinions, thank you.

- I need advice on my water damaged iPhone 5? About 2 days ago I dropped my iPhone into the toilet for about 2 seconds. Most of the phone survived except the speakers and my signal connection. The speakers were dead until about 2 hours ago but my phone can't connect to any 4g or Verizon Wireless network. Please leave feedback and advice on what I should do besides going to a local store or replacing the phone.
