Worried about school? Advice please?

When I go back to school I won't have any classes with almost all of my friends and the people in my new class aren't nice! I'm usually quite shy/awkward around new people so it'll make me very uncomfortable and unhappy. Because of that I'm dreading going back. Is there any advice to not let this ruin my school year? Thanks I'll award a lot of points for the best answer. Oh, I have almost the same problem as you, but I'm actually moving to a new school and I really don't know if people will be nice or rude there. I'm just not having any high expectations so i don't get disappointed. At my olt school I hated All the people in my class and in the whole school, they were just rich kids that made fun of you if you didn't have the latest iphone or the most expensive bag. I barely had a friend or two in all the 5 years i spent there, I was just focusing on my school work and getting good grades, and for some moments i actually felt great, I was all the teachers' favorite student and it distracted me from the mess that was going on. I tried fitting in but they are just not my type of people. I'd say just focus on building your future and working hard, it really helps rather than having lots of useless fake friends!
