IPhone Wi-Fi Network Problem?

My home Wi-Fi network was working on my iPhone 4, just 2 weeks ago and now it's not working on my iPhone. I thought there was just something wrong with my Router, so I reset it, but it didn't help. The weird thing is that my home Wi-Fi is working on my 2 laptops, but still not my iPhone. When I click on my Wi-Fi network and it usually pops up with a prompt to enter my password, but instead now it just immediately says "Unable To Join Wi-Fi Network"

Any Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated!

After multiple attempts at trying to connect the router and the ipod get confused. Do this, in this order, and when I say wait a minute or two minutes I mean a full minute or two. I don't mean 10 seconds that you think is a minute. Wait at least as long as I suggest. The timing is important for things to reset themselves.

Turn off your ipod all the way. This means holding the button on the top down for 10-15 seconds and then sliding when it says slide to power off. Leave it off.

Go to your router and turn it off. Often this requires unplugging it. Don't worry. It will reconnect itself to your cable and all your other devices will reconnect themselves too. What this does is forces the router to forget what it knows about the unsuccessful attempts to connect to it. Leave it off for a minute. Turn it back on. Wait two minutes. This will reestablish it and reconnect your other devices again.

Now back to your ipod. Turn it on. Wait a bit for it to turn on. It's rebooting itself and will now have a clean shot at connecting to the router. When it's on tap network connections and select your router. Enter the password. Wait two minutes for it to fully connect itself before you start trying to access anything. Tap the connection name and make sure the fields on the next screen are populated. If they are you're connected.

These steps clear up 99% of all connection problems. From then on your ipod will connect itself.

  • Wi-Fi on iPhone keeps saying unable to join network (my network name)? How can I fix this! It's been like this for a week but it works on my laptop fine. I tried unplugging it for a few seconds, I tried resetting network settings, I tried turning my phone off then on again, and I know I'm typing it right. I even typed it in upper case AND lower case. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
  • What's the difference between off-network and on-network? I'm try to work out which is best for what I want out of the service. I want protection while on my iPhone 5 (both when connected via Wi-Fi and when roaming on 3/4G). Website with product details: http://www.umbrella.com/products/umbrella-security-features/
  • Reset network Settings iPhone 5 problem? My iPhone 5 was jailbroken. I did a reset network settings since my network wasn't working for over an hour already. I got to the apple logo then it went all black. It didn't turn on. I tried doing hard reset but it didn't work. All it did was turned it on to the apple logo then turn off again. Would it be okay to just try and update my phone? It on an ios 8 right now.
  • Looking for a way to evenly share network speed in a house network? So my problem is that I play games online, that need a good ping. Whenever anyone from any other computer goes to load a video on youtube in a high quality, it takes up all the speed, gives me more than 400 ping and just pretty much cuts everyone else out. Is there a way to share the network evenly between every user? Our download speed is about 6mb/s, so if we have 4 active users, i'd like it to share it like 1.5mb/s each.
