Is 200 megabytes of data a month for iphone enough?

I'm thinking of getting an iphone 4s and the plan is $38 a month with 200 megabytes of data/internet a month. I would only use the internet for facebook, twitter, instagram and occasional google browsing! Would this be enough for me?

also is an iphone 4s worth getting even though the 5s is out?

or should i just go with an android phone?

I thought that 500MB was enough for me, and I do the same things you do. I get on Twitter & Instagram and I ran out of data in about 2 weeks. But my plan allows for unlimited data, but only the first 500MB are 4G LTE.

If you have access to Wi-Fi most places you use your iPhone and you make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi, you should be okay. If you don't have access to Wi-Fi, I'd say it wouldn't be enough. You could try it for a month and increase your data plan if you need to. Tip: make sure you turn off your data, automatic update, and GPS when you don't need it to save battery life and data. Have fun with your new phone!

No, 200MB will not be enough.

You'll need around 1, 000MB, unless you use mostly Wi-Fi.

Try it for a starter and you will find out. All the new phones let you check your data usage at any time. If you find that you are getting low before end of month you can upgrade and buy a higher data plan. Iphone4s is considered a decent phone. Check C net for its specifics and how it compares with other phones. Also watch all sales between now and first of year to see what phones are on sale

  • Will 1GB of data a month be enough for an iPhone? I'm thinking of getting an iPhone, but only the small plan, which has only 1GB of data a month. The only thing I go on the internet for on my phone is Facebook. Will it be enough data? Or will it be constantly looking for updates and stuff and use internet data? My old phone did that and took away heaps.
  • Is Grandma spoiling my 10-year-old nephew by giving him a $200/month allowance? - 1 That has allowed him to buy 3 bikes, an XBOX, 2 computers, a full closet of video games, a stereo, flat screen TV, iPad, iPhone, and a bunch of other electronics. Plus he goes to Disneyland, Knotts, and other amusement parks on almost a daily basis (he lives close enough to bike there). Is his grandma spoiling him?
  • Is 750mb of data a month enough for an iPhone 5s? Going to buy the 5s but not sure if I should get 750mb of data or 1gb of data as I don't want to pay extra for the 1gb when I don't need it. I receive a lot of emails daily but rarely send them unless it's important, and browse twitter, facebook and tumblr quite frequently too. I never watch videos or anything like that unless at home and connected to Wi-Fi. My BB uses hardly any data up with all of this but I know iPhone's are a different story. Will 750mb be enough?
  • Is 2gb of data on an iphone enough for me in a month? Hi. I'm getting the iphone 4 with verizon and the plan I want to get is the 2gb one. I know how to close apps but I also tweet alot & I like to get on instagram. Will this be enough?
