3GS is still a really good phone, I think in the US It is disappearing because they offer Iphone 4 free with a 2 year contract now, so everyone has phased out 3GS.
Not that I know of. They can still be purchased from third party retailers, but are not being produced by Apple anymore.

- Unlocking iPhone 3GS still legal? Is unlocking an iPhone 3GS still legal? I know they just passed a new law saying you can't unlock phones, but "legacy phones" are still legal to unlock. Does an iPhone 3GS count as a legacy phone?
- Is the iPhone 3GS still worth it? Using a Wildfire S here, driving me mad. Problems with storage and lag are making me consider buying an iPhone 3GS second-hand off of eBay. But as the title says, is it worth switching? I don't mind sacrificing the 5MP camera in favor of the 3MP one as I rarely use the camera on my phone. Obviously, I can only afford a 3GS.
- Iphone has defect screen but still connects to itunes, does the iphone still work? My iphone was ran over by a car and the screen is completely shattered. when i connect it to my laptop, the iphone appears in itunes and i can access all pictures, videos,… now my question is: does this mean that the iphone still functions properly and just needs a new screen?
- I have 1.7 GB left on my iPhone 3GS and I still can't download anything? It's a 8GB iPhone 3GS and I want to download asphalt 7( It's jailbroken) I'm done with download but when installing it says delete photos or videos cause running out of room space but clearly Asphalt 7 is 1.1GB while I still have 1.7GB leftover
