Is it good that my iphone shows up on itunes after water damage?

I put my IPhone 4s in a box of rice. After a day or so i pluged to my computer and it shows up but says its in recovery mode and needs a resore! What are the chances my phone will work?

Your iphone i completly fine all you need to do is go into dfu mod and exit if dond know that just hold down home and sleep bottom for 10 sec and then releas the sleep bottom but keep holding home for 10 sec then releae. After 5 sec just hold you sleep bottom until you see apple logo (turned on) and you r done

If it needs to be restored then you are fine. When in dfu mode just hold the power button for 3 seconds then both power and home for 10seconds then finally release the power button and continue holding home for another 15 seconds your phone will exit dfu mode and chances are it will be just the way it was before, if not restore it with the last backup you took.

  • Will my iPhone still work after water damage? It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?

How can I fix that? It wasn't completely submerged a little bit of water just got inside the base piece.
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
  • Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
