Will my iPhone still work after water damage?
It fell into a bucket of water last night and I can't turn the phone off because the screen is black. I can hear the phone ringing and vibrating, but can't see anything. I put it in a bowl of rice, is this fixable? Will the screen eventually work?
Take it completely apart and put all pieces into ziplock bag for at least a few days… Don't try to rush it and put it back together too soon. After a few days take a clean brush, Like a paintbrush or makeup brush and brush away any rice dust that may be on it and put it back together.
No its done.
the rice trick doesn't work with iphones.
sell it for parts and buy a new one.
- Why won't my iPhone 4 charge after water damage? My middle button wasn't working either but I sat it in a bag of rice overnight and now it's working again, only problem is my phone won't charge. How can I fix that? It wasn't completely submerged a little bit of water just got inside the base piece.
- Is it good that my iphone shows up on itunes after water damage? I put my IPhone 4s in a box of rice. After a day or so i pluged to my computer and it shows up but says its in recovery mode and needs a resore! What are the chances my phone will work?
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
