Is it illegal to break a tv then get insurance and claim?

If someone's kid breaks a 42" tv and there's no house insurance and you're moving, is it illegal to get house insurance then claim on that or say the movers broke your tv? And how can I report someone I don't like who is going to do that next week and I have proof it's broke and the child is 2 and has told me how she broke it. I really really hate this guy and he stole 2 of my iPhone 4's, I really want some payback!

What you asked is illegal to do-its insurance fraud as mentioned below. And saying the movers broke it means now you bringing the movers to court and now everyone has to go pay an attorney or waste time because you had lied about what happened. How you let a kid go inside your house and break your tv, i don't know. Talk to an attorney and see if there's a way to press charges or even have a suitable case.

The movers record the condition of all goods they move so anything broken would be noted before it's moved. As well, often times when insurance is obtained, it contains a clause limiting the liability right off and they can certainly ask for proof of the purchase of the large volume items in the policy.

Now, as to your question… You are really going to believe the word of a 2 year old? A TWO year old? Really?

Get over it and mind your own business.
