Is it necessary for me to buy more data? (T-MOBILE)?

Ok so i'm thinking about buying an iphone 5 and the plan says 50 for unlimited text, calling + 500mb of data. I don't want more data and i was wondering if is necessary for me to buy data.

Added (1). I know 500mb is not that much but i barely use the data. I'm always using Wi-Fi.
i just want to know if i HAVE TO buy more data. Is it mandatory? Do i have to?

I work at Radio Shack and also sell Smartphones there.
Generally all Smartphone Plans include some data listed in their plans.

So the 500 Mb of data is included in the plan you are looking at. And 500 Mb is really not that much, so check and see what happens if you happen to go over that data limit, I believe you end up paying more.

I have an iPhone 5 on Sprint, yet my data is unlimited ($80/month plan). Apps like Facebook and I would guess any App uses data. So, if you are using Apps, you'll use data. You'll also use data for any websites you use, and any links you go to in a Message/Text or in an email, any Music you stream. The option is to use "Wi-Fi" instead whenever possible, and then you will not be connecting to a Cell Tower for data, but will be using "Wi-Fi" from the phone to the nearest "wireless router" (Internet Connection).

Plus I'm sure that email is considered data too.

Voice & Text is not considered "data".

"Data" could be: any Apps, weblinks you click, emails you get or send, etc.

Note: my first 30 days, I used 2, 600, 000 bits of data, which is 2.6 Mb.

1 megabit = 1, 000, 000 bits = 1, 000 kilobits

  • Why is Paypal charging me more for selling an item than necessary? I sold an iPhone for $485 on eBay, and I know Paypal's fee's are 2.9% + $.30 for selling an item. So it should be $14.37 right? No, it's $19.22… Why is it like $5 more than it should be? Help! It was an international payment, so it was 3.9% instead plus $.30 so I got my answer. I called up and they gave me credit for the issue though.

  • Is the iPhone 5 64GB necessary? Would the iPhone 5 16GB be good enough or is the 34GB or the 64GB really necessary? I currently own the HTC Evo V 4G from Virgin Mobile and I want to make the switch to iPhone from Android. I love taking pictures, but that's it.
  • Is itunes really necessary if you have an Iphone? I was just wondering because I'm going to try and download ubuntu and since itunes doesn't support this I was wondering if it is really necessary since you can download music and apps and everything else from your phone itself.
