Is it possible to downgrade to ios 6.1.4 from 7.0.3 on an iPhone 5?

Connect your iphone to your mac or pc with itunes.
now put your iphone in DFU mode by holding the iphone awake and home button simultaneously for ten second and release the awake button but hold the home button until you itunes says that restore your iphone.
now hold shift button of your pc (alt for MAC) and click on "restore iphone" in itunes and brows where you download the ipsw file and open it and restore your iphone in your desired ios.
Yes I do realize that It may void your warranty, but will this process work?
There used to be, but unfortunately it's no longer possible to my knowledge.
The process of downgrading used to be based on something called an SHSH. The idea is that apple checks your "eligibility" for the ios version you are trying to download, and they only let you download/install your current version or higher. By using an SHSH the eligibility check with apple would get redirected to sauriks servers (the jailbreak guy), the response would say you were eligible for that version, and then the downgrade would work.
Look into that process, but I'm pretty sure it's been patched by Apple and is no longer possible.
I don't really know if this is possible but what I know is that the process of downgrade is dangerous as the phone may be locked with no possible way to be unlocked
