Is it possible to use a US IPhone 4 overseas?
I have an IPhone 4 from the US. I'm traveling to Dubai and then to India.
Is it possible to use it in any of those countries?
Only if it's a GSM phone (AT&T, T-Mobile or Factory Unlocked)
The phone itself can be used abroad. If you have a USA cellular provider you have to ask them (call customer service) if they have partner networks in the UAE and India. The phone also has to be unlocked if you want to buy local SIM cards and use them in it.
Note the UAE has made it much more difficult for visitors to buy a local SIM card.
