Is it worth it paying a warranty deductible on a 6s Plus with the iPhone 8 only two months away?

I have a 6s plus and the phone was stuck in headphone mode so i tried cleaning the headphone jack with a qtip and the qtip then broke off in the head phone jack! I was able to get it out but now the headphone jack feels lose and doesn't work. I have warranty to replace it but the deductable is $175. I'm not sure if it is worth it to pay that amount of money when the iPhone 8 is only 2 months away. That money can almost make a full downpayment on the 8. Not sure what to do.

Added (1). The qtip fixed the problem and my phone is no longer in headphone mode, however, it created another problem by breaking my headphone jack!

No need to spend anything on repair. Instead, you can buy an inexpensive Bluetooth headphone and use it. Later, get the iPhone 8 when released.

  • Why is there a $175 deductible to replace my iPhone 5s on T-Mobile? I have the JUMP! Program for insurance. In this program, T-Mobile's website states that you can replace your device for free, so long as you file a damage report. Accidental damage is included. If it's "free," why the $175 deductible?! That's pricy for a deductible…
  • Verizon Insurance Deductible? I have been paying a $10 fee every month for insurance on my white iPhone 4. I dropped it in water today and took it to the store and the employee gave me information to go home and make my claim online. But they are charging a $169 deductible. Do I have to pay that? Is it refundable? I have been paying the $10 a month so I do not see why I have to pay for a new phone
  • Should I pay the deductible to replace my stolen iPhone 5? My iPhone 5 was stolen today, and I was wondering if I should pay the $170 deductible to replace it when I'm just gonna get the iPhone 5S next month anyway. More than likely Apple will come out with a plastic low cost iPhone 5 next month and the resell value of the iPhone 5 won't be much more that the cost I would pay for the deductible. should I wait to get the 5S, or just pay the deductible and sell the phone next month and pay the remaining $650 + tax for the gold 5S?
  • It's been almost two months, is he ignoring me? This guy and I have been texting for a month now an lately he hasn't replied. I would check if he read it but I don't have a iPhone. I don't know if he's tired of me but he said that he liked me. I still talk to him at school and everything but I need to know I really like hom
