Is it worth repairing my IPhone 4S myself?
I recently dropped my Iphone 4S on pavement, after hitting the pavement screen first, it continued to slide down the pavement another 6-12 inches. My whole bottom right hand corner of my screen is cracked. I was wondering if it's worth buying a kit to repair it myself or turn it into a store such as CPR, BestBuy or Radioshack to get it repaired. If you have experience or any suggestions it would help me greatly if you answered.

Don't take it to apple unless you're under warranty or have apple care. A new screen is $299 i think (canadian).
the repair kits would be pretty hard, you need to be extremely careful and precise - one wrong poke and you could damage the lcd screen.
when my screen shattered, i took it to Pacific Mall (Chinese supermall in Ontario, don't know where you are…) and they repaired it for $40 in 20 minutes. It looks perfect and no one can tell its not from apple.
Honestly just find some phone repair shop with an asian worker (they're really the best and most precise lol) and they'll do it for cheap. Normally you can barter too, like ill pay you cash if you don't charge me taxes or something. Just look up phone repairs in your area and see how much they charge and how fast it will be done. I'm sure you will find something cheap and reasonable.
Alright thanks, I'm actually in the United States and I'm going to visit my family in about a week, they live right next to an Apple repair store which I will go check out and probably get it done there depending on the price.
- Unlocking/Jailbreaking an iphone 4 by myself? So i recently baught an iphone 4 with rogers. But i'm currently with fido and i've been trying to jailbreak the phone. First it said i needed a rogers card to activate the phone so i borrowed my friends and now i've tried a couple of methods to unbreak it and it still hasn't worked… Please give me some ideas and i don't wanna pay more money than i already have.
- Locked myself out of iPhone I recently changed the password on my iPhone, but now I can't remember it and can't get back in. I know you can use Restore, but I'd like to keep my images and iPhoto won't let me transfer images from a locked iPhone. Is there anyway to get around the passcode, or at least keep my pictures? If anyone could help, it would be a HUGE relief and I'll even answer a question of yours if you can help me fix this.
- Is there any in repairing your iphone a 3rd time? So I've smashed my phone 3 times now, twice to the point it was unresponsive which is what happened the other night. I've had it repaired when its been like that before and it seemed to work fine in general. However was wondering if there's been so much damage now there's no point in wasting £60 to repair the screen?
- Is repairing an iphone yourself a good idea? I have an old iPhone 4s that I'm using now cost me $100 used on amazon. I accidentally dropped it in a bowl of ramen noodles yesterday. USB port has trouble reading and no sound but everything else works. Should I buy $20 worth of replacement parts and replace 30 pin connector and speaker or spend $120 to get it repaired at phone 911 shop? And no there's no insurance on phone and I don't have warranty.
