Is my iPhone gonna be okay now after the water?
Ok so march 15th about 75 days ago I dropped my brand new iPhone 4 in a pond. I fell in and my phone was in my pocket. I did the rice and had a blow dryer up to it. The head phone has the red dot as well as the bottom and apple said it was waster damaged. But my phone still works perfect 75 days later. The only thing wrong with it is when in brightness settings if you put it all the way down the screen goes black. Will it be okay now?
Once the connectors completely rust, it will be shot.

I dropped mine in water, soaked it in rice and it worked perfect. It really just depends. Seems like you answered your own question though, it's fine besides the screen brightness.
No one knows what kind of damage was done to your phone, not sure why you think a messageboard would know this.
- Will the IPhone that's gonna be released in 2019 slow down after a few years like all the other Apple products? Ever since the news that Apple has purposefully made it so their devices slowly starts working worse as time goes by I haven't bought another Apple product but I really need a new phone, I wish I could buy another phone like Samsung but I have information on my current phone for school that can't be transferred. So I have been waiting for an Apple phone that won't slow down over time, so I don't have to constantly buy new phones and waste thousands.
- My iPhone 4 suffered heavy water damage, will it be okay? I went in the pool with it not realizing it was in my pocket. I was in the pool for about 5-10 minutes before I realized it was in my pocket. It was on when I went in the pool but was off when I got out. I now have it sitting in a bowl of rice and I plan on leaving it in there for a week, changing the rice it's in every 24 hours. Does anyone have any insight on this, like if there's any hope of it being okay or is it done for?
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is apple gonna release the iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 in the WWDC 2013 conference? Is it going to be minor upgrades for the newest edition of the iPhone or a new design and name… Etc
