Is the bounce back in iPhone patented?

If so, how? There's no such thing as "software patent" as seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/...are_patent
Also, if software is patentable, why didn't Microsoft patent Internet Explorer? Since they made it first.
Why didn't Google patent the search engine feature?
Why didn't Microsoft patent Messenger, so that skype wouldn t have been created?
Why didn't Microsoft patent Office applications like Excel or Outlook?
Why didn't "id Software" patent the video game "DOOM" back in the 90s?

Someone explain all this.

The reason why M$ didn't is all down to that cancer of M$ windows OS. Linux OS.

(1) M$ IE was not the first web browser. Netscape (Now Firefox) was the first web browser,
(2) Google didn't patent their search engine because they use the free Open Source Linux operating system software,
(3) Pc2Pc and IRC Messaging was out long before MS messenger came out,
(4) Skype was developed from Open Source Linux software
(5) Minecraft is a Linux open source software Game bought by M$.
(6) Office applications like Excel or Outlook are patented copy righted. But Linux developers have developed their own Office Systems Libre Office and Open office, that have killed M$ Office, That's why M$ have given away Office to Apple and Android Users,
(7) Doom was a DOS (Disk Operating System) Game. Developed with Free DOS, It would run under any DOS operating system

I have 39 years of building computers and Installing Multiple types of operating systems experience… Does that answer your questions?

Trust this… They are copyrighted products of microsoft… They are deeply copyrighted… As well as registered products of microsoft…

Oh and on that wiki site… It states right there… No such thing as a software patent exists…( purely as software itself ).although the true definition from country to country is vague…

Apple like microsoft and it products probably has copyrighted that little add on to its OS

Yes.

It works in conjunction with a touch screen device - the one allows the other.
