Is the UK voltage bad for my iPhone?

So I'm traveling to the UK in a couple of days, London to be exact. But I've read about how the voltage is different, I have plug adapters but I know those don't change the voltage at all.
My iPhone 6 charger says it can take 110-240 voltage, and outputs 5.
I'm pretty sure this is safe but I'd like someone to please confirm, I don't want to fry my new device when I plug it in.

Knowing as how the iPhones are usually the same device, no matter where they are shipped, you should probably be alright, unless there's a defect in anything. All you need is an English plug, and you should be alright. Have fun traveling! ( =

It's safe.

Our power sockets give 230V so you should be fine

Your plug adapter will be fine. Your charger automatically adjusts to cope with voltages anywhere from the 110/120v used in lower voltage countries to the 220/240v used in higher voltage nations like the UK. In actual fact, the UK nominally uses 240v, but the 230v upper limit of your charger will still cope perfectly well.

It should be fine because they use the same electronic phones over there. But if still worried i suggest ether you bring a portable battery pack that you can buy or go to a store there that sells electrical equipment and buy you a phone charger.

  • Voltage regulator VS voltage divider? I want to make a few of those altoids oh sh*t USB chargers. Instead of using the 5V regulators like everyone else does, can't I just create a voltage divider with two resistors? Why though? As long as my Iphone is seeing 5V it shouldn't matter, no? Or is the regulator really some kind of current regular aging device too? Dun think so. And what are the odds of me destroying my cell phone? You think there's circuitry protection of I screw up the polarity?
  • Is unplugging and plugging in charger to iphone 4s too many times in a row bad for the iphone? For some reason it is become slightly harder to insert the charging cord into the charging port of iphone. So i tested it a few times (6-7) in a row too see for differences. I did not really find anything. Is it harmful to plug and unplug iphone too many times, is it bad for the internal devices and the charging port itself? just too paranoid about my iphone
  • Is there a maximum voltage limit for iPhones? I'm creating a charger for iPhones and Samsung/Android phones. I was wondering if these devices had resistors, so that I can't blow peoples phones.
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
