Is there a point of getting the 32 or 64GB iPhone 5?
I'm planning on buying the 16GB iPhone 5 with the money I got for christmas but why do some people get the 32 or 64GB? I'm transferring about 400 songs and 34 downloaded apps from the App Store from my iPhone 3GS to the 5
If you download a LOT of stuff on your iPhone you will want the 64GB. This is just more memory than the 32GB, but I would recommend just getting the 32 b/c 400 songs and 34 apps do not take up a lot of memory.
I suggest you buy the 32 gb version.
If you go to your >settings >general>your applications; you'll see that every app has its own file size as well as other data stored -which uses up a lot of space:
Example:
Twitter: file size is about 30mb but the data stored is close to 130mb so total=160mb
Many other apps require more space than its own file size- if you download a couple of more apps and, say, a movie-even a 32 fb Is full.
But if you don't mind connecting your iPhone to your comp for syncing often -then 16gb should be just about enough.
Personally I'd suggest 32gb-64gb if your Christmas bounty has been substantial.
I would choose 16gb because
1. Its cheaper
2. Its cheaper to replace if i crack the screen or something
3. You really only use it for 2-3 years then you just replace it with a new iPhone
4. I delete songs and apps that i don't listen/use
People get the 32 or 64gb iPhone 5 because they store lots of stuffs (apps, videos, pics, songs, etc). If you only have 400 songs and 34 apps I suggest you get only 16gb. A 16gb iPhone 5 is cheaper and can hold approximately 2000+ songs and 50+ apps. Check out http://www.appfavour.com/ios/iphone for best and latest apps for iPhone.
