Is there a way for me to safely connect my iPhone to my VOX guitar amp?
I don't really know any of the technical reasoning behind it, but I know that there's a way to accidentally fry either your amp or phone by connecting the two (what is the technical reason for that?). So my question is, is there a safe way or something I can do to safely play music through a guitar amp from my phone, or should I just bite the bullet and mark it as a lost cause. (The reason I wanna do this is because I could but it in the back seat of my car and plug up the amp and give my car a make-shifty subwoofer+better sound(yes I know it's pretty stupid.
If you go from the headphone jack of your phone to an auxiliary input of any amp it will cause no damage whatsoever. I do not know of any way to connect them that would "fry" either. Going from the headphone out on a phone, iPod, etc. To the aux input of an amp is a very common practice. I do it almost every day. That is exactly what the aux. Input is for.
