Isn't it sad kids are growing up so fast these days?

My little cousins are more interested in ipads, iphones, facebook and all that other bs… When they should be playing with dolls, pollypocket, toy cars… You know real toys, the stuff we had in the 90s.

Added (1). Hank Scorpio calm down… You seem angry

Added (2). Chandler bing - i don't think thats true… My grandma would not agree with you.

That is not growing up that is their pollypockets and toy cars

Parents can control that, you know.

These days?
Hun, 100 years ago it was normal for you to be married at 12-13 years old, and start a family. It still is in a lot of places.

Yes, it is sad. But note that they aren't growing up fast all over the world, just in our over sexualised/consumerist society of the west.

Well who is buying them these ipads and stuff? I'm gonna guess their parents? It's not their fault they're being RAISED this way

I know! :/ I see younger kids at my neighbourhood daycare with iPhones! I used to make crafts, play with toys, go outside, play with the dogs… Now it's all electronic stuff…

Always been the same.

We should herd them all onto an island somewhere.

It's not the toys I'm worried about.

So, being interested in ipads, iphones and facebook is considered "growing up"? Hmm…

But to answer your question, no, it's not sad that kids are growing up too fast these days because… We're not growing up any faster than previous generations before us in the first place.

Yeah, specially english kids.

Yes kids were different back in the 90s toys today are nothing like they in the 90s.

Yes, kids 13, are talking sex
13, should be riding bikes, but because of movies and TV
they want to grow up fast
it amazes me, how girls, in order to be popular, do sexual things

I remember still playing down the garden at the age of 12 with my sister, and we were playing on scooters, and making our own see saw out of a plank of wood, and an empty oil drum.

Yes but none can pay bills

With the advent of technology, this had to happen. And every generation says that about the next generation. We'll say this about our kids generation and so on.

SO sad
we used to play with REAL toys not smartphones
i love my childhood
wish to return kid again

Maybe the adults should buy their kids these things. Or maybe the adults shouldn't have even made these things in the first place if they had these worries.

Yes it isn't right

I played video games since I was like 2 or 3. I was born in 96.It's really not too different than it is now.

I love it when people act like the 90s were the good old days, as if video games and other technology didn't exist back then. I'm going to assume you think modern music and TV sucks compared to what you grew up with.

If you hate the modern generation, you should blame the older generations that raised them to be that way. It's not like kids these days designed, marketed, sold all that modern tech.

"i don't think thats true… My grandma would not agree with you."

Every generation complains about the following ones, including your grandmother's

Yes too fast

  • Why do so many kids these days have no respect for the things they get? A lot of kids these days get mad if they don't get a new iphone, ipad or laptop, game station, etc. When my friends and I were kids we and the other kids had legos, gameboys, Nintendos, and crayons with coloring books. But everything was appreciated. More kids were greatful then. Why aren't today's kids as greatful? Especially since everything works better now.
  • Why are kids these days addicted to internet and iphones nowadays? Why won't kids ever go outside, skate, play sports, play basketball, listen to music, play videogames, watch tv, ride a bike, go to beach, etc and every teen at my school just is always on their ****** iphone they even use it in the halls not payin attention to their surroundings and they are on the phone all day on twitter tweeting 20 times each hour, taking too many selfies, when will this go away kids need to do something active
  • Why are kids so spoiled now a days? It just bugs me out so much I'm 13 and i don't have a phone or tablet or any expensive crap except a computer my whole family shares. At school i do glee and i see 10 year olds with iPhones and they have like the iphone 5 and whatnot. This kid even brings her ipad to school and she is 10 too. Does anyone agree because i understand if you get your kid a flip phone so he or she can call you to pick them up from friends house or school etc but i mean they are 10 with iphones
  • When should i be expecting my order? Do i have to wait a total 4-5 days being that Saturday and Sunday aren't business days? I ordered an Iphone 6s plus and an Iphone 7 plus from sprint on Friday (today s Sunday). The website said that it was a 2-3 business day shipment/delivery time frame… As you know Saturday and Sunday aren t business days. When should i be expecting my phones? Will i get the between Tuesday and Thursday?
