Itunes doesn't recognise iphone 3GS?

So my problem started a few days ago when my itunes completely broke and I couldn't get onto it at all. I had to uninstall it and that was very difficult because the file was corrupt or something and I couldnt uninstall it so i had to download some software which forced uninstalled it and I had to uninstall all programmes such as quick time etc and then reinstall itunes. Since I have reinstallled itunes, my iphone has not been recognised and it is impossible for me to sync. I have never had this probelm before, my phone is about 3 years old and it has always been recognised by itunes but since i reinstalled itunes, the problems have began. I checked on itunes support and they gave me lots of tips but none of them worked eg the mobile device support had to be checked and restarted I did all this, I also tried to change the software problems but none of this helped. Can someone please please help?

Here's the bad news. You have panicked a bit and now you (or I or anyone) does not know what state your computer is in.

1. You have given us hardly any empirical data I. E. OS, the name of this program that "forced* it to be uninstalled. Telling us you have never had this problem before is no help, were not Doctors (well maybe some!)

2. Doing all these things may have corrupted the registry

Try a system restore START/ All PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/SYSTEM TOOLS/SYSTEM RESTORE/RESTORE TO AN EARLIER POINT/GO BACK ABOUT A WEEK/IT WILL SAY SYSTEM CHECKPOINT

If that does not work try going on MS Fix it site this may not work if you have a pirated version of windows.

Try this programme particularly the registry when it prompts you for a backup say yes save in a folder in my documents

After that try re installing your I Tunes.

If anyone here advises you to edit the registry etc Don, t follow it. With all due respect you do not come across as being very computer literate and could make things worse.
