Itunes won't backup iphone 4?

I want to update my iphone (its never been updated since i got it) but it keeps giving me 0xE8000067 and 13014 errors, refusing to back up my phone. I have the latest itunes ( ver 11.1.5) i don't know what's causing this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Why won't itunes let me backup my Iphone? Every time I plug in my iphone to my computer and itunes comes up I get this message "Itunes could not back up the iphone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the Iphone." What does this mean? And why can't I backup my iphone? should I not update to iOS 6 before I have my phone backed up because I'm afraid I'll lose everything.

I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
