Itunes won't let me restore from previous backup?
So yesterday i backed up my iPhone 5 to my computer and it said it backed up successfully etc. But when i tried to restore from the backup it does not give me the option to restore from yesterdays back up ( it only lets me back up from other back ups made in the past) but I need to back up from yesterdays one as it has the latest data.
When i first connected the phone to iTunes it listed yesterdays back up but then when i clicked on restore from back up it was no longer there.
I don't understand where it has gone? I know i backed it up so why has yesterdays back up disappeared?
Don't tell me to phone apple as they could not help me.
Did you finish the backup process completely? I mean was there any interruption during you were processing the backup?
I have met the similar situation once, I got an pop-up said that some kind of files are not ready to be backed up yet during the process. The backup process continued to go on as I clicked "ignore". But I failed to use that backup to restore my iphone's data after it was finished. Since the process was actually not completely finished. So yours may be the case.
And actually I dropped Itunes for years as the inconvenience and redundant features… I used another backup program called Todo-backup to handle my backups instead. Pretty fast and cheap.

I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
