Laid down and can't get up due to severe back pain?
Let's get straight to the point, here's what happened…
My father who is obese laid down on the sofa to rest his back after a long day of working physically. The problem is, he can't get up anymore; he is claiming that his spine is in extreme pain whenever he puts one effort to thrust himself upwards or put his legs off the sofa.
I'm thinking because he is overweight, his excess weight was compressing his heavy body weight onto his spine for hours while he was resting on the sofa. Could this potentially limit blood flow to the spine and cause pain, or muscle weakness? If not, what else other reasons would there be for him to be unable to move due to severe back pain?
Thank you.
Added (1). Sorry for typos, I was on my iPhone… "… He puts on(not one) effort…"
Perhaps a herniated disc? Usually cause by lifting heavy things with bad posture. Or being over weight with bad posture. Causes extreme back pain and sometimes numb sensations. Either way he needs to see a doctor to help with the pain and healing.
- What do I do SEVERE anxiety? What steps should I take? My name's Brooke and I have VERY frequent panic attacks. When I say frequent I mean multiple small ones a day and 3 or 4 big ones a week. It's getting in the way of my work and drains me. I'm constantly tired yet when it comes time for bed I can't fall asleep. I will throw in a odd thing I freak out over to lighten the question… I bob and weave while outside because I feel like a gun is pointed at my head. No joke it's funny after, but during it SUCKS.
- Upper right back pain and neck pain. Is it lung cancer? I have mild scoliosis and spend several hours a day on the couch watching videos or movies on my iphone. The pain comes and goes. I don't exhibit any other symptoms of lung cancer. I have never done drugs or smoke at all. I don't feel pain when I breath in deeply. There's mild pain in my neck and lower skull. Is it cancer or poor posture and scoliosis?
- Severe back pain.lay on my stomach or on my back? If I lay on my stomach then I can spend time on y/a. If I lay on my back I can only listen to songs on my iphone. Which is better? Thanks. Should i lay on the side where the pain is focused or the opposite.bc laying on the oppsite side now and it hurts laying like this.
- IPhone 4 is being a pain and won't work? I have an iPhone 4, 16g running iOS7 that has suddenly began to play up. I'm having two problems: 1. I can't connect to iTunes or my laptop. When I connect them it says that it is not recognised because it has malfunctioned. What has malfunctioned though? How can I fix this? I've found no information on this. 2. My music, it plays fine, but when I click on a song, it clicks two songs above it. Any help is welcome.
