Mac vs PC operating systems?

I don't want to buy an Apple computer for iPhone development if I don't have to, but could I get the Mac operating systems on my computer?

Dell XPS L501X Laptop

It has Windows 7 on it already. I have researched that only some computers can have both Windows and Mac. I really don't understand operating systems all that much except how to use them for what I do.

People only buy apple, for the name and to show it off. Having Mac OS on your Dell will not benefit you.

Get parallel for mac (it lets you use a windows os on a mac)

Linux is better and FREE

The mac is clean all models have 16+gbs of ram. You wanta things done go mac. But not many things can be downloaded for mac so if you want to game of download lots of stuff choose windows

If you want to make a hackintosh there are plenty of youtube videos. But before you do make sure you check your bios and make sure it has (ACHI) mode

You can't actually get Mac on a PC. You would have to modify your laptop:

Intel Core i3-530 Clarkdale 2.93GHz
Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 Motherboard
4 GB DDR3 1333 RAM (2 x 2GB)
DVD Burner
MicroATX Computer Case
585 Watt Power Supply
4-pin to 8-pin Power Adapter

or you could use PearPC. Just google it.

Mac OS is built to run only on Apple Macintosh hardware. Many people will tell you, in great detail, how to run Mac OS on non-Mac hardware via a "hackintosh". Which is not legal, buggy, and you won't be able to update.

If you choose to stay within legal boundaries, you could search here http://store.apple.com/...ldeals/mac for a refurbished, legal, Mac mini. Relatively cheap, and you can use a windows keyboard. The logo key functions as the command key. Hoping you choose legal over convienience, that's all I have to say.
