Which company makes better GPS systems? Apple or Garmin?
Thinking of getting a brand new GPS and I can't decide between Apple iPhone 6+ or the Garmin Nuvi 255W
If you like iphones and want a road navigator, get the TomTom app for the iphone.
That works very well, and having used both Garmin and Tomtom devices I much prefer the Tomtom system.
Also, with software on a phone you can switch apps any time you want, to any navigation or mapping software to suit what you are using it for at the time.
If you don't want a phone, a dedicated GPS or navigator is cheaper.
Get the 6 and install all the GPS apps you want. Google Maps and Mapquest are good. Garmin has a paid version too. Best luck.
