Major iPhone 5S Screen Issue?

My iPhone 5S is less than two weeks old and it's already having problems. When I try to type, scroll, swipe, or quite frankly try to do anything, the phone does something else. For example, I tried to hit the cancel button on the far left screen (not the first page with the apps, but the screen with news, recent contacts, etc) and it would recognize me typing in "v" and "k". I can't turn my screen brightness up (it automatically sets back to the lowest setting) and I can't even restart my phone as it doesn't recognize my swiping to shut off my phone. I don't know how to fix this. Should I take it back to the ATT store?

I'm running iOS 9.2.

(Update: I slammed my phone down on the table screen first and now I'm not having problems… If they come back, what should I do?)

Thanks,

-NS If you slammed the phone down and it works right, then you have something malfunctioning and it will act up again. I'd take it back and exchange it as the phone is defective. Well, it's your fault. Why are you lying like it isn't? You shouldn't be slamming expensive items around.
