Mouse & keyboard not working on pc, Windows 10?
I upgraded my pc, which was got in 2010 and is an aol (I think) , to Windows 10 yesterday. Everything worked fine yesterday but when I turned it on today, I couldn't find the cursor on the screen, however the light on the bottom and top of the mouse was lit up. The keyboard also wouldn't work, because I checked to see if it was on num lock as I've read this can be a problem. I turned the computer off at the button, turned it on again, turned it off again and also turned it off at the plug that time. The pc is currently on and it has loaded onto the desktop, but neither the mouse or the keyboard will work. No lights are coming on the keyboard. I'm writing this on my iPhone, I don't know a lot about PCs, so I would be really grateful for help - please do try and explain it as simply as possible.
Unplug, hard restart, stick em in
You need to re-charge it. Even though it's connected, it has a special manufacturer battery inside which basically controls the power supply. If this isn't charged up, then it will not have the correct power to function correctly overall. You need to go to a shop and buy some batteries, then open up your keyboard and mouse using a screw driver and check which batteries you can replace with. Afterwards, plug it in using a double stick cable and problem solved.
If your keyboard and mouse are wireless, try changing the batteries.
- Reset a Mac with windows keyboard? I have a Mac Mini and i have a HP keyboard and i can't fully reset my Mac because i don't have a Apple keyboard so i was wondering if i can reset my Mac using the Find My IPhone app from my IPhone and erase it from there?
- Realvnc vnc viewer mouse not working? So i'm using realvnc vnc viewer, and i'm trying to control my iphone from my laptop. When i use the mouse on the laptop its not doing anything on the iphone, but using iphone screen i go into messaging app and tap on the text box to send a message i can still use the computer keyboard and type, just not the mouse. Any info appreciated.
- Keyboard clicks, lock sounds, ringer etc.not working but iPod is? (iPhone 4s)? I've had my iPhone for about 6 months and the buttons on the left hand side have stopped working, the keyboard clicks, lock sounds, ringer, alerts and app sounds don't work through the speaker but music will play through the speaker. All of my sound setting are turned on but still no sound? Vibrate works but sound would be pretty helpful.
- IPhone keyboard not working? I have an iPhone 3GS and for the past few days the keyboard has been really sluggish and typing things wrong. Sometimes I have to press keys quite a few timed to get them to type (especially the space bar). I've had my phone for about 2 years now and I've never had any problems before. I haven't got the money to get it fixed but is there anything I can do?
