My Iphone 3G s screen is completely dim. How can I fix it?
I dropped my iphone in water yesterday for a couple of seconds, picked it up, dried it off, then let it dry completely (to the point where the temperature was too hot for it to work) in the sun. It was bright all day after that, but then suddenly became very dim. It still works, I just can't read it very well. What can I do to fix this? Will I need to purchase a new phone?
Ok a couple things. You should never let it dry in the sun. You should either dry it with a hairdryer or put it in a bag of rice. That's what I did when my little sister took my iPhone 4S into the shower. But you already dried it, so go to settings, and find the brightness settings, and make sure the brightness is as high as it can go.
- Why is my Wi-Fi bar grey or dim on my iPhone 4S? I just got an iPhone 4S from a girl and after I set it all up (it's not on a plan) and the Wi-Fi bar is grey/dim and I can't connect to Wi-Fi anywhere and I can't slide it.
- Why does the brightness on my iPhone 5s dim randomly? I've had my iPhone 5s since November and I've noticed that the screen occasionally dims a bit when it's on full brightness. It's not a huge issue at all, in fact when it dims it's barely noticeable, but it's just been annoying me lately. Does this happen to anyone else with an iPhone 5s? Other than this issue my phone is perfect. And I've also turned auto-brightness off so that's not the issue.
- Why does my iPhone randomly dim itself? I've had this issue for quite awhile. It's an iPhone 5 with all recent updates. I've looked up how to fix it, and so far nothing's worked. Auto brightness is turned off, white point is off, and I've reset all my settings. My brightness is turned all the way up, but when I move the slider past halfway it stops getting brighter. Some days it won't dim at all, other times it seems to spend most of the day dim.
- Water damage on smartphone causes super dim screen? I dropped my Samsung Exhibit directly into a cup of water, and immediately removed the battery and put it in a bag of rice overnight, it still works but the screen is super dim, and adjusting the brightness does nothing. I can only see what i'm doing in a very dark room
