My iPhone 4 earphone socket isn't working?
The earphones are walking perfectly fine. I know this because they are normal on other devices. The socket hasn't got dust in it.
A quick try to see if they have some dirt is to use a Q-Tip and just regular rubbing alcohol and clean the socket, also put some on the plug and plug it in and out a few times. The alcohol won't hurt as we sue it to clean the contacts on $1K circuit packs. It is much better than the cleaning fluid you pay a bundle for. If that doesn't help and it just quit working, you could have a connection broken on the inside. I don't know if you can take the iPhone apart or not, but if you aren't used to working with that type of stuff you would be better off to take it to a repair shop and see what they would charge you to fix it.
- Will a 110-220v iphone charger work in a 230v socket? I'm wondering if i should give it a try, or if it could potentially cause damage. If it did cause damage, would it be to my iphone, the power supply, or both?
- Why does only one earphone in my iPhone work? I've had my iPhone 4 for about a year and a half now. When i got it all earphones worked, now only one works and same with speakers and docks. At first i thought i had blown my earphones but they work in everything else just not my phone.
- Why are Iphone chargers designed so the plug is difficult to pull out of socket? It pisses me off! Hairdryer plugs, hair straightener plugs are fine, i can get a good grip and pull them out easily but Ipod/Iphone plugs are so stupid! When i take my charger out i break a nail trying to pull the damn thing out!
- Problems with iphone 5s headphones socket? I tried many apple headphones but it seems like the problem is in my phone not lthe headphones so whenever i plug in the headphone it works just fine with the volume isn't up but when i try and raise it a bit it only works in one earbud and with really noisy voice so is there a way to fix this myself?
