My iPhone 4 isn't being recognised by my laptop
My iPhone 4 is about 2 years old and to transfer it from one network to another I need to back it up on iTunes and then clear and restore it. However my iPhone just isn't being recognised by my laptop, as in, when I plug it in it won't charge and my laptop doesn't offer any options - like download photos. It does make the sound that something has been inserted in though. It was recognised however on my brother's laptop, if that helps? I know it's not the USB port because I have a USB mouse - and that works in both ports. My laptop has had some issues this week - on Wednesday it wouldn't start up properly but *hopefully* those issues are gone. We used Norton Utilities and at first it said my registry health was poor, but by Friday it was high. Another thing - my laptop didn't shut down after plugging my iPhone in yesterday, it just stayed at the spinning 'Shutting Down' icon all night. Do you have any advice?
Restart the laptop and phone.
Try again.
If that dosnt work click start, search for services, click allow.
In services find apple mobile device and open it up. Click stop then start it again.
In the same list find ipod service. And follow the same.
Log off then log back on, try iTunes again with your iphone.
If it still dosnt work, uninstall iTunes and reinstall.

- Why isn't my iPhone being detected by my PC? Yesterday my iPhone 4S stopped being detected by my PC. It does not charge and the computer does not interact with interact with the phone in any way. I have no idea how to fix it, I use iTunes heavily for backups and file transfers. I do need this functionality. It's not the USB port. I've tried plenty of ports. Have also tried rebooting the PC and the iPhone, as that's just troubleshooting 101.
- Usb not recognised iphone I'm trying to restore my iphone because its jail broken and i deleted everything out of ifile and now it won't go past the set up it just keeps flashing the set language page how can i get my computer to recognize my iphone? Is ut my light cable that's broke because it wouldn't let my sync it before i deleted everything out of ifile.
- My iphone will not be recognised by itunes and it has no service? I was given an iphone as a present from my aunt. It has been rebooted and all network settings have been wiped out.now, my iphone is not connecting to itunes and it has no service but it does have wi-fi. Can anybody help me to try to get my iphone working.
- IPhone and iPad not recognised in windows 7? My iPhone and iPad will not show up in itunes or on my computer when connected via usb. They won't even charge, however they show up on other computers. Checked usb cables, and other devices connected to the same usb ports work! Any ideas?
