My iPhone 4 won't let me turn off the volume completely?

When I lower the volume the ringer does not go all the way down. When I press the buttons to lower my volume it goes down but one little square stays and won't go down and it's really disturbing because when I'm in class I get a message and my phone rings and I can't do anything about it. Is there a way that I could of had possible locked it?

There should me a switch on one of the sides and it's the silencer switch and I believe it mutes everything out except media volume(music) i don't know if it stops it from vibrating but it does noises

Flip the switch down that's above the positive button. You'll see orange behind it. That's silent mode or vibrate if you have established in Settings. Best luck.

That happen to me when I had my iPhone 4 so I decide to power off my phone then turning back on and it was fix and if it didn't work then go to settings and click where it says sound

  • Why won't my iPhone let me turn my volume down? I have an iPhone 5 and when I want to turn my volume down it won't let me. The ringer icon doesn't even show up when I press the volume down button, but it does show up when I press volume up. All the noises and everything on my phone still works but its stuck on high volume and I can't turn it down. This promblem started yesterday
  • Why won't my iPhone 4s let me delete the contacts completely? I have deleted the contact but when I go and send a new text their name still pops up, but when you press the name to text them the number comes up. For example if the name comes up "Sally" and you tap it it'll show up as "(123)456-7890." But I want to delete the contact completely! How? I have already deleted their text as well. But there number still pops up.
  • Turn off iPhone 5s completely when abroad? I'm going to Argentina for 3 weeks and I'm taking my iPhone 5s but I plan on turning it completely off. I've read so many horror stories about charges on your bill. I initially planned on turning the roaming off or whatever, but I'm not sure how all that works, so if I turn it off completely will everything be okay? Or do I have to do anything else like remove the sim card.
  • My IPhone works completely fine sometimes but a lot of times I can't use it and it's completely unresponsive to my touch? I scheduled an appointment to fix my very cracked screen and I was just wondering if this will fix my problem for sure or is there something else that may be causeing the screen to be unresponsive?
