My iPhone 4s won't stop giving me notifications for every tweet that is posted on Twitter?

I don't know what I did but on my twitter account it keeps on giving me notifications for every tweet that is posted by the people I'm following at it is so annoying. Like who wants to be notified about every tweet that is posted? Every second a new tweet comes in I get notified about it. How do I stop this from happening please?!

That is completely normal. Twitter is programmed to do that.

  • Why won't my twitter notifications pop up on my iPhone? I restarted my phone about a month ago due to my phone having some problems. After i restarted my phone, I got the twitter app and turned on the notifications even the twitter badge icon. Ever since then, it still hasn't worked. My Facebook and Instagram notifications work but not Twitter. I have iOS 6.1.3 and before I restarted my iPhone, it worked.
  • Twitter SMS & Twitter App Mobile Notifications? I have and Iphone 4, currently up to date, etc etc. When I turn on mobile notifications on twitter I receive both the SMS/404-04 text notification and a push notification from my twitter mobile app. I would prefer to receive the notifications from my app only and not SMS. It would be easier to distinguish tweet from normal texts. Plus The SMS notifications leave my texts list messy. I can't figure out how to do this anywhere. Solutions?
  • Twitter logs me out whenever I try to tweet anything? On my iPhone, I can't download apps, so I'm using the Twitter mobile site on my phone. Whenever I try to tweet anything, it logs me out and redirects me to the Sign In page.
  • Twitter app keeps giving me false number of notifications on Iphone 5s? Its been happening for a few weeks now, I see other people have had this happen before but they said it was fixed a few days go, but I'm still experiencing it on my phone, when I exit out of the app, there's always a number with the red bag icon on the Twitter app, even though I checked it.
