My iphone 5 screen went black! Can I do this to fix it?

So I was playing a game and no apps were running in the backround. So about a minute into playing it freezes, so i try clicking to home button and that didn"t work. There was no way to force close the app either. So I waited till my screen would shut off (I set it for a minute until it shut off). And then once it shut off i tried clicking the home button to turn it on. And it wouldn't work, So I held it down for siri and I heard her but my screen was still black. So I told her to play music and then she started playing music. So can I just play music until my battery runs out so I can plug it in too turn it on and fix it? (ps. My power button won't work so I can't restart it.)

My power button is broke so i can't restart it. The home button works, however it will not get me off the white screen.
