My iPhone 5 won't up date to iOS 7?
I bought an iPhone 5 today and I want to upgrade it, but every time I click Software Update it checks for about 2 minutes then a sign comes up that says 'Unable to Check for Upgrade: An error occurred while checking for a software update.'
It's been doing it all afternoon and I really want to upgrade it. How do I fix it?
Wi-Fi error
You need to be connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection. You can try upgrading it via itunes on PC though.
This is a Wi-Fi problem. Unplug your router/modem and then plug it back in after 30 seconds. Also reboot your iPhone. If this doesn't work, backup and restore your phone. (Or just restore it. Since you bought it today you could not have anything on it.) If none of these work go to Apple or the store you bought it from and get a refund or a new phone. Or just make sure you have a strong connection (like a 3 bar connection.)
Try through iTunes on your computer.

- Why does my iPhone say up to date when iOS 6 is out today? I checked for system updates and it says version 5.whatever is up to date. It's the 19th iOS 6 came out today. My iPhone is lying to me. In fact, developers were getting copies of ios 6 all summer. Out or not, if 6 exsists somewhere, even in a workstation in Cupertino than iOS 5 is not up to date. It should read, "Version 5 is obsolete but nah nah can't have 6 yet!"
- Where is ios 7? Why does it say I'm up to date with 6.1.3 when I'm not? I'm using an iPad 2 and 3 and I'm for sure the update is for ipad 2 or later, ipod 5th gen, iphone 4 or later, and ipad mini so why can't I find iOS 7? When I click on software update it says "iOS 6.1.3 Your software is up to date." I know iOS 7 came out today at noon for east coast so why can't these ipads find it! I'm so confused rn.
