Where is ios 7? Why does it say I'm up to date with 6.1.3 when I'm not?
I'm using an iPad 2 and 3 and I'm for sure the update is for ipad 2 or later, ipod 5th gen, iphone 4 or later, and ipad mini so why can't I find iOS 7? When I click on software update it says "iOS 6.1.3 Your software is up to date." I know iOS 7 came out today at noon for east coast so why can't these ipads find it! I'm so confused rn.
Same thing on my 4s
My iPad 2 is doing the same thing. It is doing the same thing on my iPhone 5. Don't get it
Reports online says Apple has staged out the release of ios 7 to avoid slamming the servers… I'm in Eastern US yime zone and it first beame available this afternoon… Keep checking.
At the press event announcing the new models, Apple CEO Tim Cook said there were 600 million devices running iOS. Just because you have a year-old iPhone 5 doesn't mean you can't freshen it up with the latest operating system. Look for your device below to see whether it is eligible.
• iPhone (original): No
• iPhone 3G: No
• iPhone 3GS: No
• iPhone 4: Yes. Does not include AirDrop, Siri or camera filters (you can add filters later in the photos app).
• iPhone 4S: Yes. No AirDrop.
• iPhone 5: Yes. Includes all new iOS 7 features.
• iPod Touch: Only the 5th-generation iPod Touch can upgrade but will include all new iOS 7 features.
• iPad (original): No
• iPad 2: Yes. No AirDrop, Siri, camera filters or square format, or Photos app filters.
• iPad 3rd generation: Yes. No AirDrop or camera filters.
• iPad 4th generation: Yes
• iPad Mini: Yes
Some of the cooler new features you may have heard about, like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the new camera tools -- slow-motion, burst mode and image-stabilization -- are available only on the new Phone 5S.
Just a simplified version of what can be updated. No answer to your question though I say restart the devices or wait till tmrw. I'm getting ios7 as we speak on my iPhone but my iPad says the same thing you're having trouble with
So many are swamping the servers to update, just give it a day or two.
I've got the same issue with an Iphone 4S, am assuming this depends on the servers being overloaded, but not sure.
I think its a problem with apple, I had the update page on my ipad 4 it said I could update to ios 7 but then a hour later I closed the page and when I opened it again the update was gone. But when I go to Itunes it tells me I can update so try it from there.
Try rebooting your device your try updating from itunes.
I also had the same problem but as soon as I switched off my iPad 3 and turned it back on, it worked!
The answer is simple. Go to the updates section and if it still says up to date, then tap the back button and go into the updates again. Repeat this until it works.
I had the same problem on my iPad 4. I was immediately skeptical of michael g's suggestion to keep hitting Software Update until it shows up, but to my great surprise, it worked after three tries in a row. I don't have enough free space for it, but it's there.
Same issue on my 4s. I keep going back and into the software update area and continues to say "ios 6 - your software is up to date"?
Did the same thing on my iPad 2. I just hit Update Software over and over and it finally let me in. It took me about 6 times.
I had the same problem i just shut it down and tried again and it worked! Took 10 minutes for me i don't know if it will be the same for you but i wish you luck!
The back switch and update worked for me after about six tries…
Seems to work with ITunes
My iPod did the same thing just turn it off then on. Go to the iOS thing and keep on updating it! It should pop up.
I had that same problem after I saw everyone posting how cool ios7 was ><
The solution is: shut down your device and turn it back on.
After that go back to the software update and there it is! IOS 7.0!
I'm having the same problem and did pretty much everything that was mentioned here and nothing worked. Until I freed up some space up to 15GB, then I was able to get the update.
I read from a blog that you'll need at least 2GB+ for the update and it doesn't make any sense because my free space was around 9GB when I'm not getting the update…
Updating my iPhone 4S (32GB) now…
If you are using iTunes, be sure you have the latest version. I'm running 11.0.5 and it told me that I need at least 11.1 to connect to an iOS device running iOS 7.So older versions of iTunes will probably not update your phone to iOS 7.
Turn your device off and on again, the iOS 7 update will be there.
Just keep pushing the update button and make shure your Wi-Fi is on. It didn't work for me for a little bit but then it did after like 10-15 try's
Actualiza tu itunes para poder actualizar a ios 7 ( update itunes then youll be able to update to ios7 ). Goog luck everyone.
I had that problem, then read that I need to turn off my iPhone 4s and restart it. I did, and it worked.
- Why does siri not understand what i say? If i say to siri on the iphone or ipad why are you so ugly she says would you like me to search the web for i'm stupid? Why dos'nt sh understand me?
- Why does my verizon iPhone 5S not say 4G? Okay so I got the iPhone 5S with verizon and when I'm not on LTE it says 3G. But I've noticed with my friends iPhone 5's that are on AT&T their phones say 4G when there's no LTE. Can I fix this
- Why does my iPhone say up to date when iOS 6 is out today? I checked for system updates and it says version 5.whatever is up to date. It's the 19th iOS 6 came out today. My iPhone is lying to me. In fact, developers were getting copies of ios 6 all summer. Out or not, if 6 exsists somewhere, even in a workstation in Cupertino than iOS 5 is not up to date. It should read, "Version 5 is obsolete but nah nah can't have 6 yet!"
- Why does my iphone say that there's not enough available storage? I deleted about 400 pictures and 20 videos and I have 10 photos right now but if i try to take any it says my storage is full? What can i do to fix this?
