My IPhone 5s uses extrodinary amounts of data, how can I fix that?

I just got this on the 22nd and my data reset the 24th so I didn't pay attention to that. In the past week I have been on safari for 30 minutes at the most on a chat forum and 15 minutes on ifunny and somehowbi have used about 155mb of data. There's nothing according to the cellular section that is using an extreme amount of data. Should I just back up my phone and reset it? Or is there something else I should try

Did you watch any streaming video? That would explain it.

Double check to make sure you did not accidentally turn on your Wi-Fi hotspot. Hotspot uses double the data and also I was told 4G uses a lot of data as well.
