My Iphone contacts just messed up

I had over 4, 000 contacts. & i called someone & hung up i went to my messages and all the contacts were just numbers. Same with my cal log, & it said i have no contacts. What just happened? I plugged my phone into my laptop. Anyway i can get all of them back?

Have you tried turning it of and on again?

  • Whatsapp contacts - if they're onnm contacts am I on theirs? I have the phone number of an old friend stored on my iPhone and they also show on my whatsapp contact list… Does this mean that they still have my phone number stored in their phone and also have whatsapp installed on their phone? The chat thing says they haven't been seen since 28th sept? If they didn't have my number on their phone would they still show as one of my contacts on whatsapp?
  • My iPhone 4s just deleted all my contacts? D I literally just opened my text messages and there was nothing but numbers and then i looked at my contacts and they were all deleted.luckily they're all still on iCloud but they won't sync to my phone and then when i tried to manually type all the contacts back in, none of them are saving into the contact section does anyone know how i can fix this and i really really don't want to restore my phone because i have so much stuff on it that i don't wanna lose D: help!
  • My contacts keep changing into my parent's contacts? I'm using my Dad's old iPhone 4, so it has all of his data. I cleared out everything that was his but I hate the part where each time my parent's add a new contact to their phone, everything syncs over to my contacts, so I'm scrolling down my list and see a new person I don't know but my parents do. Is there a way to change this?
  • Iphone just randomly deleted all my contacts? Tonight all of a sudden my iPhone's contact list was empty! I got ios 7 a few weeks ago. Luckily I had opened conversations with the important contacts so I used those to add them to my list but I don't have all of them! Did anyone else face with problem? I don't have iCloud on for it:/ I have the iphone 5
