My iPhone fell in the toilet
I had my earphones on and my phone fell in the toilet, I pulled it as fast as I could. Everything is okay, I guess, but the sound is low. I can't hear when I get a message or a phone call. I try to turn off my phone but it turns back on by itself!
Put it in a bowl of rice.
Take it to radio shack theyll fix it but make sure there's no poop stains
Put the phone and battery in rice. It will dry it out.
Well I would normally recommend taking out the battery. But since it's an iPhone, that would be a problem. If I was you, I would try to turn it off as you did, but if it won't stay off leave it on but try to move it around as little as possible.
This way if it the water hasn't reached anything that will kill the phone, it won't get any worse.
You can try to put it in a bag with rice, (Make sure you don't put it in powdered or broken rice as it can get into the speaker holes or charger slots.
Option 2: Put it on top of a DVD player or Xbox or something. Anything that produces DRY heat. That will help to dry it out.
Option 3: Use a blow dryer to dry it off, but remember moving it as little as possible will help at this point.
I would definitely let it sit over night without touching it and leaving it to dry. (Preferably over a dvd player or something you can leave on providing heat)
The first thing you should do is to close your Iphone, since its automatically getting on so I would suggest not to use it until the hardware is totally moisture free. Get your phone to the nearest technician as soon as possible and get the mother board dried under a lamp and get cleaned with special chemicals.
Put the phone in rice for 1-2 days. The rice should soak up all the excess water.
