Too many background apps.
Poor signal.
Running resource intensive apps like games.
Display set too bright.

However you use it, as long as it's not jailbroken it should never overheat.

You have a faulty iPhone. If you purchased it new then you still have 7 months AppleCare Warranty. Use it.

A lot of SE and iPhone 6 models seem to suffer overheating due to a manufacturing fault.

"Overheating" as in actually going over recommended operating temperatures or just your definition of that, i.e. Getting hotter than it should be to the touch?

Usually a phone getting hot depends on what you are doing on it at the time.

  • What could be causing my sore heads and dizziness? I'm 17 years old and I basically spend everyday on my iPad, laptop, iPhone or watching tv. I don't exercise and I don't have a good diet. Every time I stand up I get dizzy and have a head ache. And if I run up the stairs or run a little distance I feel faint. My mum is trying to make me get a blood test but I'd rather have an idea of what's wrong first. Could it be from spending too much time looking at screens or lack of exercise?
  • What could be causing my iPhone to not be holding a charge? It's an iPhone 4, and I've had it a few months short of two years. I've taken good care of it, it's got plenty of memory, updated software, I'm not running many apps (I double click the home button to close them often), but my phone's battery won't last at all lately even when I don't use it very often.
  • My droid Z just broke and i only have 3 months til my contract is up? My phone has black dots / spots on the screen. I guess from dead pixels. Will Verizon replace it or can I upgrade to a new phone. I'm looking to upgrade to the new iphone 5. Should I wait ir try to get the iphone 5.
  • My Iphone was hacked, and I no longer had access to safari. I then proceeded to reset my Iphone with an old update from a few months Keep in mind I have two icloud accounts. After doing so I then reset my phone with the second icloud account( as that was the only option). Having done so, does that mean everything that was on my phone has been deleted before I reset it, or do the hacker/s still have access to important information of mine?
