My iphone was just stolen, is there a way to remotely get my photos backed up on icloud?
My icloud was full so my photos were not backing up. Now my phone is gone and stolen. I was wondering if I clear out my icloud would there be a way to get it to update my photos from my phone so I will still be able to have them? Also, when I go to find my iphone my device does not show up. Is there any other way to find my phone and get it back?
If your phone doesn't show up on iCloud, then you're out of luck. That's why backups are important!
What you want to do would work, but the person that has your phone is never going to put your SIM CARD back into the phone. And when they do start up Wi-Fi, they will have done a factory reset, which will wipe the phone, making any recovery impossible.
Thus is why it's important to backup your phone once a week at the very least of things you consider important. And that back up should be to a computer with iTunes installed on it. ICloud backup are useless, unless the cloud storage is larger than the phone's storage.
