My Iphone won't vibrate when recieving text messages?

How to I make my phone vibrate when receiving text messages? I want to be able to have my phone on silent in class but I still want to know when I get a text message. Have the vibration and everything else on. It still doesn't vibrate. I hate this so much! It plays sounds/music but that's it.

Added (1). The volume is up high… Still nothing

On the left side of you iPhone, above the volume up button, there's a switch. Toggle that switch and see if that helps.

I have an iPhone 4s. I had the same prob awhile back. Go to or settings then sounds then text tone & change it to something else. Make sure vibrate is on & exit out of settings. It worked for me it should work for you

  • Recieving text messages from unknown callers? Simply saying, "Hey." it has happened a few times in the past as well. My phone is an iphone and is fairly new from last December if that helps. So who are these people? Is it safe to open the message so long as you don't reply? I accidently went to the message, and hope that no one is currently hacking my phone.
