My Mac OS X 10.7.5 won't find my Wi-Fi but finds my neighbours?

My MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.7.5 can't find my Wi-Fi but will find my neighbours Wi-Fi? My iPhone and iPad connects to my Wi-Fi no problems! But my MacBook only connects now and again and I don't know why, I have tried going into system preferences and network and adding and removing my Wi-Fi and all other services but nothing works? Any ideas what's going on?

Try pulling the plug on your router and modem, wait 30 seconds, then boot them up.
Also shut your MacBook Pro off for 30 seconds, then restart it.
If you have products that don't need Wi-Fi at the time, turn them off to free up Wi-Fi resources.

Having way too many Wi-Fi connections on at the same time, eats up the resources of the router and the modem. Turning them off can free up your services.

Your problem may be related to you neighbour's router and the IEEE 8011.d standard.

Use the "About this Mac" utility to check the county code and the channel that the WI-FI card on your MBP is configured to.
