Other takes up half my iphone space? How do I get rid of it?
It's taking up tooons of space and I can't seem to get rid of it. I don't even have that many pics, apps, or contacts.
Your iPhone needs somewhere to put the iOS files. Usually, iOS takes up 2gb of your iPhone.
- Which takes up more space on my iPhone: a song in the music app or a song downloaded from Spotify? Assuming it's the same song, obviously, using the default quality settings for each. I need more space on my phone, and want to see if I can save space in the music department.
- What takes up the other portion of my iPhone storage capacity? I have the iPhone 4 and almost 1/3 of my capacity is taken up my "other" and I want to know what that is so i can do something about it.
- What is the other that takes up 9 GB of my iphone memory? When i plug in my 16 GB iPhone 4s iTunes shows that 9 GB are taken up by "other" i only have 200 songs and less that 400 pictures 0 videos and delete my emails and texts and i restored it to factory settings christmas eve, what takes all this memory?
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
