IPhone 4 is still a great phone?
Despite their being the 4S and an upcoming iPhone 5.
Please only iPhone owners. I don't need any answers from people who don't like Apple, or negative comment on it.

So I don't see the point to select the "backup device to iCloud" (settings>icloud>storage and backup>icloud backup ) in the iCloud settings menu. Nor do I see a point to back up to iTunes (wi-fi or USB) if you are already synching data to iCloud.
So pretend you loose your iPhone, buy a new phone, and re-sync it to your iCloud account.
iCloud syncs photos, bookmarks, notes, calendar, contacts, and documents. As far as itunes purchases, they are always on iTunes to be downloaded, at will, under my itunes account. Any CD's that I rip to iTunes are on my mac's hard drive, and can put them back on the phone with a quick sync.
So please explain to me why I need to "backup my iPhone" to iCloud.
I understand why "syncing" with icloud is good. But why turn the iphone "storage and backup" slider on? (settings>icloud>storage and backup>icloud backup on.) Can someone please give me one reason that I would want to use this option?
The only thing that I can think of is the phone's settings would return to default? And maybe so that Apple can sell you data that you don't "really need".
Am I wrong on my assessment about this?
Ok so heres what happened
i went braindead for a second and couldnt remember my iphones passcode and i kept trying to unlock it and now its one the "iphone disabled connect to itunes"… I have no problem restoring it but the thing is that the iphone is jailbroken and i heard if you connect a iphone to itunes that is jailbroken it locks up or something. This isn't my iphone, its my brothers, so if i something happens and i accidently mess it up he will most likly be mad… So my question is, can i restore it thru itunes if its jailbroken with installous and cydia, if so how, and if not what do i do? Thanks and when you answer, remember your talking to a total noob when it comes to all this iphone, firmware, jailbreaking stuff…
My Iphone 3g won't charge. If I plug it into a computer nothing happens, and If I use a wall plug in the applelogo popsup then disapears. I've tried to put it in recoverymode, but nothing happens, and since it won't connect I can't reset it.
Is the battery dead?
My battery goes down by 1% for about every 1-2 minutes I'm online and while I have location services on. Is this normal? I feel like my battery should last longer than it does.

I'm going to study computer engineering in college and I was wondring is it a good wanted field?
I like computers and softwares and I wanna like make the next iphone or even better.
And is computer engineering more about software or hardware?
Like will i be able to use the data i have, not Wi-Fi without getting charged extra? If so, will it use up quicker than in the UK?
Before my viber worked fine but then it stopped working so i reinstalled the app and it tries to sync contacts but it takes ages and eventually fails and says i don't have connection or something when i do. I tried to reinstall it like 5 times and still th same, Tried restarting phone, tried all the obvious. I have a feeling its a problem with the newest version but don't have an older version of the app to try
